Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering or similar.
• 2+ years relevant engineering experience in gas turbine / aerospace / defense / automotive / related industries.
• Strong understanding of propulsion physics, motion control, and heat transfer.
• Familiarity with engines, engine controls, and testing of engines or powertrain components.
• Familiarity with MIL standards and verification test plan execution.
• Ability to collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers.
• Experience with diagnostics monitoring, failure detection, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop system requirements and test campaigns for airbreathing turbine applications.
• Design test campaigns to satisfy program feature requirements.
• Interface with program and customer demands to deliver high quality propulsion products.
• Work with engine control systems including FADEC’s, ECU’s, Starter-Generators and related hardware.
• Work with actuators, sensors, connectors and architecture of engine control systems.
• Develop test stands, instrumentation packages and equipment to support engine test and integration.
• Test, diagnose, and analyze engine data on test stands, expeditions, and flight tests.
• Work on the coolest engines in the aviation business.
