Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a propulsion systems engineer to develop system requirements and test campaigns for airbreathing turbine applications. The role involves designing campaigns, interfacing with customers, and ensuring high-quality propulsion products through engine control systems like FADEC/ECU.

Knowledge of CANape is a plus. The position requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Aerospace or related fields and 2+ years of relevant experience, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace or similar.
• 2+ years in gas turbine, aerospace, defense, automotive, or related industries.
• Understanding of propulsion physics, motion control, and heat transfer.
• Familiarity with engine controls, testing, and MIL standards.
• Ability to collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware and test engineers.
• Experience with diagnostics monitoring and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop system requirements and test campaigns for propulsion applications.
• Design test campaigns to satisfy program feature requirements.
• Interface with program and customer demands to deliver high quality propulsion products.
• Work with engine control systems including FADECs, ECUs, Starter-Generators.
• Engage with actuators, sensors, and architecture of engine control systems.
• Develop test stands, instrumentation, and equipment for engine testing.
• Test, diagnose, and analyze engine data on test stands, expeditions, and flight test.
• Contribute to projects on the coolest engines in aviation.
