Job summary

Astranis in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Propulsion Test Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to oversee propulsion test plan definition, test equipment design and build, and testing itself.

You will work cross-functionally to ensure stakeholder requirements are met while considering cost and schedule implications of testing. Design, build, test, and qualify tests and equipment; develop test plans; and collaborate with other teams to complete tasks.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in aerospace/mechanical engineering.
• Strong hands-on hardware design and build abilities.
• Ability to create and execute test plans.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and qualify tests and test equipment for propulsion systems.
• Perform component and system level design, analysis, and trade studies for test equipment.
• Develop and execute component and system level test plans.
• Work closely with other teams to complete tasks.
