Job summary

Astranis seeks a Propulsion Test Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to oversee propulsion test plan definition, equipment design and testing. You will work cross‑functionally to meet stakeholder and industry requirements while also considering cost and schedule implications of testing.

Responsibilities include designing, building, testing and qualifying propulsion tests and equipment; performing analyses and trade studies; developing test plans; collaborating with multiple teams to complete

Qualifications

• Enrolled in aerospace/mechanical engineering or similar program.
• Hands-on testing and hardware development experience desirable.
• Ability to design, build and test hardware from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and qualify tests and test equipment for propulsion systems.
• Perform component and system level design, analysis, and trade studies for test equipment.
• Develop and execute component and system level test plans.
• Collaborate with other teams to complete tasks.
