Job summary

Cirrus Aircraft seeks an experienced propulsion systems leader to guide the design, development, integration, and certification with engine and/or propeller manufacturers for SR and SF platforms. You will lead a team of 10–20 engineers and collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to meet project goals.

The role requires 8+ years in propulsion, 3+ years in leadership, and strong systems engineering expertise. Travel and frequent collaboration with cross-functional teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years in aircraft propulsion systems.
• 3+ years in leadership and team management.
• Experience with propulsion system certification under FAR Part 23/33.
• Strong communication and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proficient in Creo for 3D models and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead propulsion system design, development, and integration with suppliers.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams and subcontractors.
• Oversee certification activities under FAR Part 23/33.
• Mentor engineers in thermal, vibration, and fluid dynamics.
• Manage direct reports and performance reviews.
