Frontier Aerospace Corporation seeks a Senior Design Engineer to lead technical solutions, direct design efforts, and ensure alignment with customer requirements and program goals. You will guide engineers, review drawings, and drive engineering excellence in propulsion hardware projects.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior designers, and help advance both engineering capabilities and business performance within a growing organization in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or aerospace engineering.
• 4+ years of professional 3D CAD design experience.
• Creo Parametric and Windchill PLM preferred.
• Deep knowledge of aerospace materials, treatments, and processes.
• Ability to design parts, tooling, and test fixtures for rocket engine hardware.
• Strong GD&T capability (ASME Y14.5).

Aufgaben

• Guide generation of production fidelity detailed component drawings meeting functional, manufacturability, and customer requirements.
• Apply mechanics, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics to components and subsystems to create reliable products.
• Direct creation of drawings and specifications for components, assemblies, and systems.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices through checks of drawings, models, and specs.
• Interface with vendors and customers to address technical challenges.
• Disposition non-conformances and perform root cause analyses with risk assessment.
• Direct technical support for production through engineering change orders to improve producibility.
• Verify product definition is fully defined, dimensioned, and cost-optimized.
• Collaborate with disciplines to present design packages; mentor engineers.
