Job summary

United Launch Alliance is seeking an experienced engineer for propulsion ground fluids systems, responsible for mechanical design, system integration, and anomaly resolution. You will collaborate with design teams, suppliers, and launch sites to ensure schedules and safety standards are met.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of four years of related experience, with strong communication and teamwork skills. Relocation may be available and travel is approx. 25%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 4 years related work experience in mechanical/aerospace engineering.
  • Ability to perform system design and integration to meet manufacturing, safety, and performance requirements.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Engineering design, systems integration, subcontract management, and anomaly resolution for propulsion ground fluids systems.
  • Develops system and component designs to satisfy propulsion system requirements.
  • Perform system integration and trade studies to optimize designs for manufacturability, safety, and performance.
  • Provides direct support to design team, suppliers, the factory, and the launch site to ensure production schedules are met and to resolve anomalies.
  • Reviews as-built hardware/software and test data to verify final product configuration and performance and to prepare for test/flight.
  • Develops design improvements that reduce cost and risk and/or improve vehicle performance.
