Job summary

United Launch Alliance is seeking a Propulsion Systems Engineer for the ULA Software Department at Cape Canaveral. You will develop and test integrated software for ground fluids systems, applying thermodynamics, fluids, and mechanical design principles to ensure safe launch operations.

You will refine requirements, design subsystems, write code, and perform integration and validation in a collaborative Agile team environment, engaging with product owners, architects, and hardware/software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, with 4+ years hands-on industry experience.
• Experience with pneumatic or cryogenic fluid systems in transfer applications.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, specifications and standards.
• Experience developing requirements and procedures for automated operations.
• Experience reading and navigating code for troubleshooting requirements and test observations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and teamwork abilities.
• Understanding and/or exposure to Linux operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test integrated propulsion software solutions for launch operations.
• Refine requirements, design subsystems, develop code units, and perform integration, test and validation.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and Hardware/Software engineers in an Agile setting.
• Support ground fluids software interfaces with launch pad and vehicle systems.
