Job summary

United Launch Alliance (ULA) invites applications for a Propulsion Systems Engineer focused on ground fluids systems (pneumatics, cryogenics, hydraulics) to support Centaur V processing at the launch site.

The role requires 2+ years of related experience and a Bachelor’s in engineering. Expect collaboration with cross-functional teams, system integration, and occasional travel to partner sites. ULA emphasizes safety, compliance, and mission success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related work experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Ability to work under general supervision to develop solutions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform system design and integration for manufacturability, safety, and performance.
• Experience with cryogenic, pneumatic, and hydraulic fluid systems is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to other ULA sites or vendors.

Responsibilities

• Develops system and component designs to satisfy propulsion system requirements.
• Perform mechanical design and analyze dynamic, structural, and fluids concepts.
• Conduct system-level trade studies for manufacturability, safety, and performance.
• Create engineering drawings, assembly, and testing requirements.
• Support design teams, suppliers, and launch site to meet schedules and resolve issues.
• Lead causal analyses to resolve anomalies and prevent recurrence.
• Review as-built hardware and test data to ensure configuration and readiness for test/flight.
• Maintain NAC-I eligibility for access to ULA sites.
