Job summary

United Launch Alliance (ULA) is seeking a Propulsion Systems Engineer / Software Engineer to develop and test integrated solutions for automated launch site command control and communication software. You will apply fluids, thermodynamics, and mechanical systems design to create software requirements and verify ground fluids software aiding launch safety.

In an Agile environment, you will collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, hardware and software engineers, and launch site operators to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related technical discipline with 2+ years of hands on industry experience.
• Experience in the design, operation and/or control of hardware systems, pneumatic systems or cryogenic fluid systems that are used to transfer commodities.
• Ability to assess and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and industry/government standards.
• Experience with developing requirements and procedures for automated operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop new software products using modern design principles and provide innovative solutions.
• Refine requirements, design subsystems, develop code units, and perform integration, test and validation of software.
• Work in an Agile environment with a fail-fast mindset.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Technology Architects, QA and Automation teams to design and test software solutions.
