Job summary

United Launch Alliance seeks a Propulsion Systems Engineer / Software Engineer to develop and test integrated software for automated launch site command, control, and communication. You will work with cross-functional teams to design, validate, and implement ground fluids software and related hardware interfaces, ensuring safe launch operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 2+ years of hands-on experience, with emphasis on systems engineering, hardware

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related technical discipline with 2+ years of hands on industry experience.
  • Experience in the design, operation and/or control of hardware systems, pneumatic systems or cryogenic fluid systems that are used to transfer commodities.
  • Ability to assess and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and industry/government standards.
  • Experience with developing requirements and procedures for automated operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Developing new software products, implementing modern software design principles, and providing innovative solutions.
  • Refining requirements, designing subsystems, developing code units and performing integration, test and validation of software.
  • Work in an agile environment embracing a 'fail fast' mentality.
  • Engage with Product Owners, Technology Architects, QA and Automation teams on cross-functional activities to design, develop, and test software solutions.
