Job summary

Ursa Major Technologies in Colorado is seeking a Systems Engineer to help verify propulsion systems meet customer needs. You will develop MBSE models and support risk analysis, requirements validation, and program reviews.

You will mentor associates, create system engineering tools, and contribute to cross-functional teams in a high-stakes defense environment. Colorado-based, full-time, exempt.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace, Systems or Mechanical Engineering (or related technical subject).
• 1–3 years applying aerospace systems engineering processes (design reviews, verification/validation, risk assessments).
• Demonstrated organization skills.
• Commitment to valuing diversity and inclusive working environment.
• Ability to earn trust and maintain professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Define, validate, and maintain requirements across major programs.
• Build system-level qualification plans for Solid Rocket Motors (SRMs).
• Track requirement verification status through development and qualification.
• Review test/analysis plans to confirm requirement satisfaction.
• Develop FMEA, PFMEA, ASIA and other system documents for SRM programs.
