Ursa Major is seeking a Systems Engineer II to verify propulsion system performance and lead requirements development, MBSE modeling, and verification planning for advanced SRMs. You will align with internal teams and external customers, ensuring traceability from concept to qualification while supporting risk analysis and MBSE adoption.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, model-based systems engineering, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S.

Qualifications

• BS in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years applying aerospace systems engineering processes.
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or Jama.
• Experience with MBSE and Cameo.
• Strong organization and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and test data.
• Eligible for a U.S. Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support leads in defining, validating, and maintaining requirements.
• Build system-level qualification plans for Solid Rocket Motors (SRMs).
• Track requirement verification status through development and qualification.
• Review test and analysis plans to confirm requirement conformance.
• Support system-level risk analysis and mitigation; own risks to closure.
• Maintain traceability across engineering deliverables and teams.
• Develop MBSE models of SRM systems and MBSE methodologies.
• Communicate with management and customers on requirement compliance.
• Integrate internal MBSE models into customer models and frameworks.
• Create, manage, and train system engineering tools and processes.
