Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Project Engineer to drive technical leadership while supporting design, development, and testing of propulsion components and subsystems. The role reports to a Program Chief Engineer and collaborates with production and engineering teams to resolve issues and keep the program aligned with objectives.

You will coordinate multiple engineering disciplines, develop project plans, prepare proposals, and ensure test and verification activities meet certification goals.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5 years.
• Experience reading and understanding technical 2D drawings.
• Experience coordinating cross-discipline engineering teams.
• Experience presenting design solutions to internal and external customers.
• US citizenship required for access to program information.

Responsibilities

• You will coordinate cross-discipline engineering activities at the project level.
• You will lead project plans, schedules, and cost estimates for engineering scope.
• You will prepare technical inputs to proposals, statements, and specifications.
• You will translate design concepts into executable engineering tasks and coordinate tests.
• You will monitor progress and resolve technical and operational issues to protect schedule and cost.
• You will report status to stakeholders and track risks and dependencies.
