Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, Project Engineering for our Orange, VA location. You will coordinate propulsion program tasks, implement design and analysis work, and support the program technical lead across ballistic, thermal, and structural analyses.

The role requires strong technical problem solving, ability to read specifications, and travel up to 25%. Security clearance eligibility is required for US citizens.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience; a graduate degree lowers experience needed.
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of related experience is accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions to technical problems using engineering techniques.
• Read, interpret, and write specifications and technical documents.
• Prepare technical and design requirements in support of project goals.
• Keep current in relevant technologies and methods in support of project assignments.
• Provide direction in problem investigations and resolution across functional areas.
• Understand and/or lead RCCA process and review engineering drawings.
