Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Huntsville, AL, or Camden, AR, seeks a Project Engineer to lead propulsion program tasks under program management. You will coordinate design, analysis, and testing activities across ballistic, thermal, and structural domains, and report status to the engineering lead.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of project engineering experience, strong CAD and engineering software skills, and the ability to obtain a US Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior Project Engineering experience; graduate degree or equivalent with 2 years; in lieu of a degree, 8+ years experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of codes, rules, and regulations related to engineering assignments.
• Experience with engineering test equipment and related software.
• Understanding of RCCA and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate propulsion program tasks with program management.
• Monitor technical progress and interface with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical guidance and briefings to customers and leadership.
• Prepare and present status reports and engineering inputs for leadership.
• Support and manage cost, schedule, and risk using CAM/EVM principles.
