Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Project Manager for the Propulsion portfolio in Commerce, CA. The role focuses on leading program execution, cost control, and schedule adherence across cross-functional teams from proposal through delivery.

The position requires manufacturing experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication to maintain customer relations and drive value creation in a fast-paced environment. On-site 100% at the Commerce, CA site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related discipline with 5+ years of rated experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in project or program management, coordination or similar role.
• Experience managing schedules, cost, and scope in a complex, cross-functional environment.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary liaison between Program Management and cross-functional teams through proposal, design, procurement, manufacturing, test, and delivery phases.
• Partner with the Program Management team to ensure adherence to contract scope and monitor milestones.
• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, estimates at completion (EACs), risk registers, and workload forecasts.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project issues; implement recovery plans for production targets and customer satisfaction.
• Support transition of designs into manufacturing by mitigating risk and driving efficiency improvements.
• Prepare and present at internal and customer-facing program reviews and IP Team meetings.
