The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration while maintaining compliance with NGDS processes. Travel 10–25% and eligibility for Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in STEM field; mechanical or aerospace preferred.
• Experience in propulsion systems design, risk assessment, planning, and program execution.
• Strong communication skills across levels; ability to present to executives.

Responsibilities

• Manage a group of ~5–10 project and design engineers across multiple programs.
• Ensure technical approaches meet requirements, objectives, and cost/schedule constraints.
• Mentor staff, provide training opportunities, and drive performance feedback.
