Job summary

Allocor.Tech is seeking an experienced Product Manager to own the propulsion stack for Taurus motor controllers, Clio hubs, and related power systems used in eVTOL and other advanced vehicles. You will translate technical backlog items into a clear roadmap and ensure the team delivers on SWaP-C constraints.

You will collaborate with electrical engineers, firmware teams, and customers to turn vague specs like 400 V and regen into sequenced work, while guarding schedule and budget.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years owning a technical product on power electronics, motor drives, avionics, or propulsion.
  • Strong EE/firmware literacy to discuss current loops, isolation, and CAN without Jira.
  • Comfort presenting to aerospace, defense, or advanced-vehicle OEMs.
  • Judgment to distinguish COTS vs MOTS vs custom and say no when needed.
  • Bonus: eVTOL/UAS, hybrid-electric, or maritime electric programs.

Responsibilities

  • Own the propulsion backlog: Taurus variants, voltage/power SKUs, firmware feature flags, packaging, accessories.
  • Sit with EE, FOC firmware, and customers and turn requirements into sequenced work.

Job description

The role

Allocortech does not need a backlog janitor. We need someone who understands why four-quadrant FOC, voltage class, SWaP-C, and certification timeline are the product — and can turn that into a roadmap OEMs will buy.

Taurus motor controllers, Clio power/comms hubs, and the surrounding battery/PDU work already power eVTOL, hybrid cargo aircraft, and electric hydrofoils. Your job is to productize that stack.

What you will do
  • Own the propulsion backlog: Taurus variants, voltage/power SKUs, firmware feature flags, packaging, accessories.
  • Sit with EE, FOC firmware, and customers and turn "400 V, regen, eight-week MOTS" into sequenced work.
  • Write requirements hardware and firmware can actually build. Kill nice-to-haves that blow SWaP or schedule.
  • Partner with sales on positioning, spec sheets, and which custom asks become catalog.
  • Keep the 18-month versus 24-month product bets honest.
What you bring
  • 5+ years owning a technical product on power electronics, motor drives, avionics, or vehicle propulsion.
  • Enough EE/firmware literacy to argue current loops, isolation, and CAN without hiding behind Jira.
  • Comfort in front of aerospace, defense, or advanced-vehicle OEMs.
  • Judgment on COTS vs. MOTS vs. custom — and the discipline to say no.
  • Bonus: eVTOL/UAS, hybrid-electric, or maritime electric programs.
Why Allocortech

Fifty-plus people, revenue already tripled, and a propulsion line that is on vehicles instead of slides. You will set what gets built next — not write tickets for a platform team in another time zone.
