Blue Origin in Washington state seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead the propulsion development manufacturing for Hall‑effect thrusters and associated subsystems. You will design, procure, assemble, and operate facilities, work with cross-functional teams, and drive DFx feedback to shorten the design-build-test loop.

You will mentor junior engineers, create work instructions, and establish scalable processes to support concurrent high-rate production while managing cost, schedule,

Qualifications

• BS in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering or related technical subject.
• 5+ years propulsion system manufacturing experience.
• Experience in manufacturing flight hardware in production or lab.
• Experience with manufacturing hardware including additive, welding, machining, cleaning, NDT, tight tolerance assembly, leak testing, and MES/SCADA.

Responsabilités

• Design, procure, assemble, and operate propulsion development manufacturing facilities.
• Lead DFx reviews (Design for Manufacturing, Test, and Assembly).
• Develop manufacturing work instructions for receiving, fabrication, assembly, integration, test, and refurbishment.
• Develop initial process controls and statistical evaluation.
• Plan scaling activities for development and production capacity.
