Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead manufacturing engineering for Electric Propulsion, driving DFM feedback, process development, and line standup. You will mentor engineers and partner with Design, Quality, and Supply Chain to scale high-rate production.

The role reports to the Director of Operations and emphasizes lean, first-principles thinking to remove waste and accelerate throughput at multiple Blue Origin facilities in Washington.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering.
• 8+ years in manufacturing engineering in production or development-to-production.
• 5+ years authoring work instructions and managing manufacturing BOMs.
• Experience manufacturing propulsion or aerospace hardware.
• Ability to deliver DFM feedback to design engineers and drive changes.

Responsibilities

• Lead ME across the Electric Propulsion value stream and establish best practices.
• Drive DFM/DFA reviews and producibility improvements to reduce cost and cycle time.
• Stand up manufacturing lines and scale production capacity.
• Develop processes, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing readiness.
• Mentor and elevate technical capability of engineers.
• Collaborate with Design, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.
