Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Propulsion Manufacturing Engineer in Huntsville, AL. You will translate engineering intent into actionable manufacturing steps, supporting propulsion subassemblies, final assembly, and specialized processes to enable scalable propulsion hardware.

Responsibilities include DFMA-driven improvements, process documentation, and ensuring conformity to AS9100/ISO 9001 quality standards while collaborating across design, test, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering role.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering intent into manufacturing steps to produce propulsion hardware.
• Support manufacturing floor activities for propulsion subassembly and final assembly/integration.
• Execute and oversee special process work instructions (COPV tank installation; heater installation; MLI blanket installation; harness routing).
• Perform DFMA across propulsion product life cycle and lead continuous process improvements.
• Ensure work aligns with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality standards.
