Job summary

JetZero, an aerospace startup in Long Beach, CA, is hiring a Propulsion Integration Engineer to lead advanced engine and nacelle installation concepts for the Blended Wing Body program.

You will perform propulsion system analyses, design interfaces between bare engine, nacelle and airframe, and collaborate with suppliers. On‑site work in Mojave and partner facilities, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to certification programs are key elements of the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in propulsion.
• 9+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience leading system integration, supplier oversight, and technical decision‑making in aerospace.
• Proficiency with CAD modelling software (CATIA/NX).

Responsibilities

• Novel Integration Design: lead development of engine/nacelle/EBU/APU installation concepts for the BWB airframes.
• Technical Integration & Analysis: perform propulsion system analyses, ensure seamless integration of engine, nacelle and airframe, design control architectures.
• Supplier Partnership: interface with engine, APU and nacelle suppliers to meet performance and certification requirements.
• On‑Site Hardware/Controls Validation: lead hands-on integration activities in on‑site labs and partner facilities (e.g., Mojave).
• Strategic Leadership: mentor junior engineers and influence propulsion technology roadmaps.
