Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Propulsion Engineer to contribute to the development and qualification of a new propulsion system for a cutting-edge fixed-wing program in the St. Louis, MO area.

You will be part of a Flight Sciences team handling propulsion, aerodynamics, and guidance, navigation and controls, focusing on inlet development, engine integration and controls, testing and qualification. We welcome Experienced and Senior Level candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years work-related experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience with propulsion system design, testing, and integration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements for propulsion systems within a model-based engineering environment.
• Coordinate interfaces between propulsion system and vehicle.
• Design propulsion subsystems and components to meet specifications.
• Lead testing, analysis, modeling, and simulation activities for performance validation.
• Perform propulsion sub-system and component verification tests.
• Review and approve engine and component qualification documentation.
• Assist propulsion test planning and vendor coordination.
