Job summary

Global Connect Technologies in Mossville, IL seeks an experienced HIL Test Lead to head hardware-in-the-loop testing for automotive embedded systems. You will develop test strategy, review cases, configure HIL benches, and coordinate with software, systems, and hardware teams.

You will mentor engineers, perform root-cause analysis, ensure ASPICE and ISO 26262 practices, and drive validation of ECUs with tools like dSPACE, MATLAB/Simulink, CANoe/CANalyzer; experience with Jira/ALM helpful.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in HIL testing/automotive embedded validation.
Strong experience with dSPACE HIL, MATLAB/Simulink, CANoe/CANalyzer.
Experience with ECU testing, diagnostics, and automotive communication protocols.
Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
Experience leading or mentoring a validation/testing team.
Knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262, and automotive software development processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead HIL test planning, strategy, execution, and reporting.
Develop and review test cases, test scenarios, and automated test scripts.
Configure and maintain HIL test benches and simulation environments.
Perform ECU validation using tools such as dSPACE, CANoe/CANalyzer, MATLAB/Simulink, and related HIL platforms.
Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and perform root-cause analysis.
Coordinate with Software, Systems, Hardware, and Validation teams to resolve defects.
Support CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, UDS, and other automotive communication testing.
Track defects and testing progress using Jira and ALM systems.
Mentor HIL test engineers and provide technical guidance.
Ensure compliance with ASPICE and ISO 26262.
