United Launch Alliance is seeking a Propulsion Systems Engineer in our Software Department to develop and test integrated ground fluids software for launch operations, applying fluids, thermodynamics, and systems engineering to ensure health and safety.
The role emphasizes collaboration with product owners, architects, engineers, operators, and software developers in an Agile environment, focusing on requirement development, testing, and integration of software with ground fluids systems.
As a Propulsion Systems Engineer for the ULA Software Department you are responsible for developing and testing integrated solutions related to the automated launch site command control & communication software. You will apply fluids, thermodynamic, mechanical systems design, and systems engineering principles to develop and test requirements used to develop software that ensures the health and safety of the launch crew and launch vehicle during critical operations, including launch. A core responsibility is ensuring that changes driven from other groups are properly integrated into both Ground Fluids Software Requirements and Parameters. You will develop, update, and maintain software requirements and parameters for the ground fluids software, and verify and validate it by performing option level and integrated testing. Team members support testing of launch pad and vehicle system interfaces with Ground Fluids Software, and you may support engineering, production, or launch activity that requires use of ground fluids software or technical input/review of data related to its functioning.
You will work with a highly collaborative team in an Agile environment, engaging with Product Owners, Technology Architects, Airborne and Ground Hardware Design Engineers, Launch Site Operators, and Software Developers on cross‑functional activities to design, develop, and test cutting‑edge software and launch vehicle solutions.
