Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for Propulsion for Survivability - NG Fellow 1, onsite across multiple locations including Redondo Beach, CA and Clearfield, UT. The role oversees survivability production, design, inspection, and training for LO platforms with a focus on first-time quality and field sustainment.

The ideal candidate leads complex programs, mentors engineers, and engages with government partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor's, Master's, and/or PhD in a relevant STEM degree and robust industry related experience; 20 years with BS or 18 years with MS/PhD.
Must have significant experience with Survivability inspection and repair techniques including materials integration/design, and technology transfer to Production for LO Platforms.
Experience with industry signature tools and techniques for survivability testing.

Responsibilities

Serve as technical lead and consultant to various legacy and advanced programs and sector initiatives.
Develop and maintain the NGAS Survivability Production vision and a roadmap for technology integration into Production.
Lead independent review teams and manage special assignments to resolve complex challenges.
Develop and mentor the next generation of engineers and create training material.
Advise management on technical research and long-range business planning.
Engage with the US Department of War Survivability community to enable partnerships and future business.
