Job summary

Voyager Technologies Inc is seeking a solid rocket propulsion engineer to design, analyze, and qualify propulsion hardware for space and defense missions. The role covers concept through production with cross-functional collaboration across manufacturing, quality, test, systems, program management, and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, or chemical engineering or related field with 4–15 years of propulsion experience.
  • Hands-on experience designing, analyzing, developing, testing, or supporting production of solid rocket motors or propulsion systems.
  • Working knowledge of internal ballistics, combustion, thermodynamics, heat transfer, structural analysis, nozzle or grain design.
  • Experience applying engineering analyses to evaluate design performance and solve complex problems.
  • Experience supporting component or system testing and using data to investigate anomalies.
  • Clear technical communication through documentation and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and develop solid motor and propulsion hardware from concept through qualification and production.
  • Perform analyses on motor performance, internal ballistics, combustion, and thermal environments.
  • Develop and execute requirements, analyses, drawings, specs, test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Support propulsion development and qualification testing, including data review and root-cause investigations.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and configuration changes balancing performance, cost, and safety.
