Job summary

Blue Origin Engines seeks a skilled engineer to address non-conforming hardware in rocket engine production and to design improvements for manufacturability. You will update assembly procedures and release CAD changes within our configuration-managed workflow.

The role requires balancing multiple technical issues while advancing components and assemblies for flight production, with emphasis on GD&T and 3D CAD proficiency. Collaboration across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in component design, fabrication, build and assembly.
• Experience solving issues related to non-conforming hardware.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and large assembly models with configuration management (Creo Parametric and Windchill preferred).
• Knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Strong communication across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Join a passionate group in finding resolutions for non-conforming hardware throughout flight engine production.
• Develop design improvements for rocket engine components and assemblies for transition to flight production.
• Drive design for manufacturability improvements and update assembly procedures identified through root cause analyses, engine manufacturing, testing, and cost reduction opportunities.
• Detail and release changes within the CAD model/drawings using configuration management processes.
• Balance multiple technical issues across projects and teams.
