You will help define the art of the possible from day one, supporting solid rocket motor hardware design, analysis, and test across multiple teams in a fast-moving aerospace environment.

The role offers a path between Level 2 and Level 3, with emphasis on solid mechanics, CAD modeling, and advanced analysis tools. relocation assistance and travel are possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2+ years of experience or Master/PhD in engineering.
• Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. DoD Secret clearance.
• Strong solid mechanics fundamentals and communication skills.
• Experience with 3D CAD and structural/propellant analysis tools.
• Experience in multidisciplinary engineering teams and design reviews.
• Knowledge of or interest in rocket motor design and propulsion systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, test, and produce solid rocket motor hardware (nozzles, cases, propellant, integration hardware).
• Provide accurate 3D models, drawings, and specifications for motor components.
• Participate in trade studies to balance performance, cost and schedule.
• Develop design/analysis documentation and test plans.
• Perform structural analysis (FEA) and evaluate data to refine models.
• Support development, qualification, and production testing of flight hardware.
