Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector seeks Design/Analysis Engineers (Level 2 or 3) in Promontory, UT or Magna, UT. The role focuses on solid rocket motor design, analysis, and integration hardware, with responsibilities spanning from 3D modeling to design reviews.

You will work in a multidisciplinary environment with ongoing development, qualification, and production testing of flight hardware, collaborating across Manufacturing, Quality, Safety, and Thermal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a classical engineering/STEM discipline with 2 years of professional experience or Master’s/PhD in engineering for Level 2
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years/ Master’s with 3 years/ PhD with 1 year for Level 3
• Must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
• Experience with solid mechanics and multidisciplinary design and analysis

Responsibilities

• Support design, analysis, test, and production of solid rocket motor hardware
• Provide accurate 3D models, drawings, and specifications
• Perform structural analysis (FEM) and evaluate test data
• Plan and support development, qualification, and production testing
• Interact with multi-discipline teams to ensure requirements are met
• Develop and present technical content for design reviews
• Learn and apply standard design and analysis processes
• Other duties as assigned
