Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA seeks a PropulsionAnalystIntern to support the propulsion team by building FEA and CFD models of new designs. You’ll gain hands-on experience analyzing rocket engine hardware under mentorship and in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

The internship is on-site for 12 weeks starting May or June 2027, with strong exposure to real engineering challenges and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree program in an engineering, physics or math discipline and have at least one semester of school remaining post internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable).

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge to support propulsion team in creating FEA/CFD models and related analyses.
• Collaborate with mentors and engineers to solve real propulsion challenges.
• Attend regular 1:1s and contribute progress updates.
