Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency is seeking a Proposal Writer to respond to RFPs, partner with the sales team, and manage proposal content throughout the lifecycle. You will lead kickoff meetings, set timelines, and ensure timely, high‑quality submissions.

The role requires excellent written and verbal communication, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to work across departments to create compelling content and executive summaries. Travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications or related area preferred.
• APMP certification or willingness to earn.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong grammar and editing.
• Experience creating and writing proposals; organizational skills to manage deadlines.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ability to operate standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to RFP requests to maximize new business opportunities and retain clients.
• Collaborate with sales team; write, edit, and maintain proposal content in the proposal system.
• Establish and follow project timelines; format and finalize proposals.
• Lead kickoff meetings and provide direction for next steps.
• Research prospects and tailor boilerplate content to client industry and culture.
• Write executive summaries and new material as needed; edit content from sales.
• Coordinate with graphic design and desktop publishing for final delivery.
• Develop new content for proposals and work with SMEs to update content.
