Job summary

Neel-Schaffer, Inc. is seeking a Marketing Associate – Proposals to support proposal development and business development across nine states.

Location-flexible across larger offices; you will collaborate with proposal managers, technical staff, and designers to craft compelling, compliant submissions. You will manage content development, maintain marketing materials, and produce professional deliverables using InDesign and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Communications, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of marketing or proposal experience in the AEC industry; Southeast DOT experience a plus.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with ability to develop clear, compliant proposals.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop winning proposals: plan, write, edit, and assemble qualifications, proposals, and client-facing materials.
• Coordinate the proposal process with managers, staff, designers, and leadership to meet deadlines.
• Write and maintain project descriptions, resumes, qualifications, and marketing resources.
• Design and produce: create proposal graphics and polished deliverables using InDesign and other tools.
• Support business development: prepare materials for meetings, conferences, and events; travel as needed.
