Job summary

Raftelis Financial Consultants, Inc. in Charlotte, NC seeks a Proposal Manager to lead a fast-paced proposal team, develop win strategies with project managers, and refine proposal processes while meeting tight deadlines.

The right candidate will run the team reporting to the Director of Creative Services, supervise 5 direct reports within a 12-person Creative Services group, and work in the office at least three days weekly with parking provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Marketing, Business, English, or related field.
• 8+ years of proposal development experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Proven attention to detail and leadership capabilities.
• Highly skilled in formatting within Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong proofreading, editing, and reading comprehension skills.
• Ability to work in-person at our headquarters in uptown Charlotte at least three days a week.

Responsibilities

• Serve as manager for proposal team members, ensuring tasks are completed on time with oversight and training.
• Manage tasks using workload platform (ClickUp).
• Build a collaborative team environment and promote idea sharing.
• Adopt AI tools to enhance proposal development and efficiency.
• Lead proposal process improvement initiatives and win theme development.
• Take ownership of complex or high-stakes proposals for accuracy and quality.
• Review proposals and interview presentations for accuracy and visual appeal.
• Develop proposals using Word templates.
• Conduct daily online RFP search.
• Maintain and analyze proposal metrics to identify improvements.
• Assist with other proposal and marketing tasks as required.
