Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a highly experienced Proposal and Cost Estimating Lead in a hybrid role at Marlborough, MA. You will lead engineering cost estimates for proposals and coordinate with Capture Managers, Program Managers, and engineering leadership.

The role requires DoD acquisition knowledge and an active SECRET clearance. Typically requires a university degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years.

Qualifications

• Experience developing, reviewing, and delivering engineering cost estimates for DoD programs.
• Experience with EVMS or equivalent cost/schedule control frameworks.
• Experience coordinating across engineering, finance, contracts, supply chain, and pricing.
• Active and transferable SECRET security clearance required before start date.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
• Typically requires university degree and minimum 8 years of relevant experience or advanced degree and minimum 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, integration, and delivery of engineering cost estimates for proposals.
• Prepare compliant cost estimates and basis of estimates.
• Maintain engineering cost estimating historical database.
• Plan and participate in engineering cost reviews using cost realism techniques.
• Collaborate with program managers, capture managers, and engineering leads to align with scope and affordability.
• Ensure inputs meet DoD acquisition, cost estimating, TINA, and compliance.
