Job summary

Raytheon (RTX) is seeking a finance-focused professional to develop and analyze material proposals for contracts, coordinating with cross-functional teams to assess costs and program impact. You will leverage pricing tools and ensure compliance with FAR requirements in a collaborative environment.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years, and U.S. citizenship. Hybrid work is available, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (ex. Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the development, analysis and completion of material proposals.
• Work with other functions from across the company to understand and evaluate the material and other direct costs associated with proposed contracts and the associated program.
• Utilize company estimating and pricing programs and tools.
• Lead the development of Material Basis of Estimates to include tracking progress, validating and analyzing supplier quotes and Purchase Order History, ensuring consistency across the program, and confirming the estimating approach is sound.
• Ensure proposals comply with all FAR and internal requirements.
• Assess, develop and implement solutions leading to a thorough material package.
• Perform detailed and complex analysis of inputs to ensure soundness in our material estimates.
