Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Proposal Specialist to help manage bids and proposals, ensuring timely, professional responses to RFPs and quotations. The role blends creativity with organization, requiring strong project management, writing, and layout skills, and is a full-time position within the Sales department.

The successful candidate will coordinate inputs from multiple stakeholders, implement scalable workflows, and ensure branding and commercial terms align with company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication, engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years relevant work history within a commercial function; preferably in manufacturing or energy environment.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment.
• Developed knowledge of proposal best practices and tools including CRM/Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes.
• Lead the coordination, review, and editing of proposal inputs from cross-functional stakeholders.
• Implement scalable workflows, templates, and tools to increase efficiency and consistency while driving best practices.
• Provide guidance to sales teams on persuasive writing and proposal best practices; support presenting offers.
• Review and manage commercial terms and conditions requested by customers with counsel; manage templates in line with branding.
