Job summary

Laramie County Government's Property Tax Department is seeking a detail-oriented Clerk under direct supervision to perform ad valorem and other property tax functions. This entry-level role supports cash handling, tax payments processing, mobile home movement applications, and tax delinquency activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Wyoming statutes.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent; AND one (1) year customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must be bondable.

Responsibilities

Process ad valorem tax payments and mobile machinery payments.
Process mobile home movement applications; issue tax status for mobile home title changes.
Identify and record assigned County revenues; calculate and print land redemptions; process miscellaneous receipts.
Research unpaid taxes; send notifications of taxes owing to current property owners.
Perform cash handling duties including processing cash, check and credit card payments.
Answer the telephone; provide the public with general information regarding County and departmental policies and procedures.
