Property Senior Litigation Specialist

Zurich North America is hiring a Property Senior Litigation Specialist to join our Claims team, with locations in Schaumburg, IL or Addison, TX.

Under limited direction, evaluates legal liability, pursues, negotiates, and resolves Property subrogation claims. When on-site investigation is necessary, secures additional information from referring offices. Handles highly complex, multi-line, and multi-jurisdictional losses within broad limits and authority.

Responsibilities include:

1. Investigating property claims.
2. Evaluating legal liability and managing the pursuit, negotiation, and resolution of multi-line/multi-jurisdictional subrogation claims.
3. Securing additional investigation information when onsite investigation is needed.
4. Communicating with insureds, witnesses, attorneys, and underwriters.
5. Managing litigation and arbitration processes.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years in the Insurance Industry, or
2. High School Diploma or equivalent with 7+ years in the Insurance Industry, or
3. Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 5+ years in the Insurance Industry.

Additional requirements include experience with Microsoft Office and knowledge of commercial lines insurance laws.

Preferred qualifications include experience with Property claims, strong communication and analytical skills, and attention to detail.
