Job summary

MRK Partners in Germantown, MD, is seeking a Property Manager to oversee all aspects of property operations, revenue collection, expense control, compliance, and resident relations. The role leads hiring, training, and retention programs to build a high-performing team.

Responsibilities include budgeting, capital projects oversight, ensuring LIHTC and other funding compliance, maintaining records, coordinating repairs, managing leasing and occupancy, and fostering positive relations with

Qualifications

• Five years in property management.
• Two years of supervisory management experience with budgeting and personnel decisions.
• LIHTC, Public Housing or Section 8 experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the property meets contractual and operational obligations including safety, maintenance, and marketing.
• Develops operating and capital budgets; oversees major capital projects.
• Completes LIHTC/Section 8 certifications and maintains compliance.
• Maintains complete property files and coordinates revenue collection.
• Manages leasing, resident relations, and maintenance requests.
• Coordinates hiring, onboarding, and training with district/ regional manager.
• Provides performance feedback to staff and manages underperformance.
