Job summary

National Church Residences is seeking a Property Manager II to oversee operations and financial performance for up to 150 units across 1–4 affordable housing communities. You will supervise site staff, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with HUD/LIHTC and local laws.

The role requires 1–2 years in property management (affordable/HUD preferred), strong leadership, and proficiency with Yardi and Microsoft Office. Travel 25–50% and a valid license are expected.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; industry designations welcomed (COS, TCS, ARM, SCHM).
• Experience: 1–2 years in property management, preferably affordable/HUD housing with direct reports.
• Travel: 25–50%; flexible schedule and valid driver’s license required.
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills in English; ability to lead teams and manage tasks.
• Proficiency with computer software for operations and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Direct oversight and leadership of day-to-day operations at the assigned community(ies).
• Manage hiring decisions, vendor relationships, and resident services to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare operating budgets, analyze financial statements, and submit regular reports.
• Ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and state housing laws and regulations.
• Oversee up to 150 units across 1–4 communities and coordinate program requirements.
• Monitor occupancy, lease enforcement, and staff development; drive resident retention.
• Oversee marketing and leasing to achieve occupancy goals; monitor data accuracy.
• Lead efforts to maintain MOR and REAC readiness and fair housing compliance.
