Job summary

Columbia Housing seeks a Property Manager to oversee day-to-day management and operation of housing properties in Columbia, SC. You will enforce lease agreements, ensure timely rent payments, and ensure compliance with housing procedures and regulations.

Essential duties include supervising staff, coordinating maintenance, preparing reports, and supporting resident associations. A strong background in housing management and leadership is required along with robust knowledge of HUD regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related field is required.
• Minimum of three years in housing development management, including at least one year in supervision.
• Must obtain RAD Project-Based Specialist Certification and/or Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Oversees staff and provides functional supervision, assigning and reviewing work and conducting evaluations.
• Ensures properties meet HQS/NSPIRE standards and maintains grounds and units.
• Provides customer service to residents and the public, and explains lease terms.
• Supervises rent calculations, delinquent notices, and eviction processes when needed.
• Prepares weekly, monthly, and annual reports related to assigned properties.
• Coordinates maintenance activities and monitors budget expenditures.
