Orbach Affordable Management is seeking a seasoned Community Property Manager to oversee Arlington House (ARLINGTON LLC) in East Orange, NJ. The role emphasizes HUD/LIHTC compliance, regulatory adherence, and hands-on daily operations management.

You will lead onsite staff, ensure accurate resident files, and prepare for MORs and LIHTC audits while maintaining high standards for residents and vendors. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a HUD/LIHTC Community or Property Manager.
• Strong understanding of HUD and LIHTC compliance and file requirements.
• Experience with HUD MORs and LIHTC audits.
• Previous supervisory and staff management experience.
• Experience with RealPage or similar property management software.
• Strong knowledge of Fair Housing requirements and resident relations.
• Affordable housing certifications such as COS, TCS, BOS, or similar are preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day community operations while ensuring compliance with HUD, LIHTC, Fair Housing, and company standards.
• Lead, supervise, and hold onsite staff accountable for performance.
• Maintain positive resident relations and address concerns professionally.
• Prepare for HUD MORs, LIHTC audits, and compliance inspections.
• Ensure resident files meet HUD/LIHTC requirements.
• Identify issues, take initiative, and develop effective solutions with minimal direction.
• Maintain accurate records with strong attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, ownership, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage deadlines and priorities.
• Work in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities.
