Concern Housing is seeking a Property Manager to oversee the management, maintenance, and operational setup of Brooklyn & Bronx properties. The role ensures site readiness for inspections and supports compliance across multiple funding sources.

Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, with focus on timely unit turnover and contract management. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) with 2+ years in property management, strong organizational and communication skills, and experience coordinating

Responsibilities

• Enforce programs rules in collaboration with Program Director and Building Superintendent.
• Manage make-ready process for vacant units and timely turnover.
• Coordinate vendor service appointments and review contracts.
• Respond to building inquiries and inspection requests.
• Maintain files for warranties and service contracts; monitor performance.
• Coordinate moves, inspections, appointments, and maintenance orders.
• Assist in establishing department policies and procedures; stay compliant.

Description

Concern Housing is seeking a Property Manager to oversee the management, maintenance, and operational setup of the agency’s Brooklyn & Bronx properties. The Property Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of the organizations properties with regards to site management and maintenance.

Days/Hours: Monday - Friday; 9am - 5pm

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure sites are prepared for regularly scheduled state and other funding source inspections including HUD, REAC, OMH, HHAP, etc. Compile any documentation required for these inspections. Prepare buildings for audit reviews
• Enforce the programs rules and regulations by working with the Program Director and Building Superintendent.
• Oversee the make ready process of all vacant units to ensure timely turnover
• Conduct site inspections routinely with PM and Program team as needed.
• Regularly inspect all units and buildings to ensure code compliance
• Assess, report, and coordinate site capital needs
• Obtain bids for capital needs. Develop scope of work, obtain and review bids, etc.
• Manage, review and renew all service and building contracts
• Process purchase orders
• Coordinate vendor scheduled and required service appointments
• Respond to building inquiries, inspection requests, violations, notices etc.
• Obtain, negotiate, review all building service contracts and monitor the performance of vendors
• Establishing and retaining files for warranties and service contracts and ensuring their proper utilization
• Maintenance coordination: Reviewing, documenting, and tracking all work orders. Reviewing and responding to calls/emails from staff and others regarding property issues. Coordinating moves, inspections, appointments, etc.
• Recommend and assist to establish department policies and procedures
• All other relevant assignments as requested by the agency Director of Property Management or other senior administrative staff
• Remain current with all Agency required compliance documents and trainings.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degreepreferred along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Property Management. Must possess strong organizational, communication, and problem solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with vendors, contractors, and internal departments. Experience coordinating inspections, compliance documentation, maintenance operations, and vendor management strongly preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
