Property Manager – Luxury Class A Multifamily
Edgewater, NJ | 250+ Unit Luxury Community
Lead a High-End Community Where Service Matters

Our client is seeking a hands-on Property Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a beautiful 250+ unit Class A, luxury multifamily community in Edgewater, NJ. This is an ideal opportunity for a polished, service-oriented property management professional who understands that successful luxury property management goes beyond occupancy and operations—it’s about creating an exceptional resident experience while protecting the value and performance of the asset.

With a high-end resident demographic, premium amenities, and a strong market position, this community requires a Property Manager who is equally comfortable leading a team, building resident relationships, managing leases and renewals, and driving day-to-day operational performance.

You’ll have supportive ownership, clear expectations, and the autonomy to run the community once trust is established.

The Opportunity

As Property Manager, you will serve as the day-to-day leader and face of the community, overseeing resident relations, leasing follow-up, collections, lease administration, move-ins and move-outs, and overall property operations.

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years of Property Manager experience managing a comparable market-rate multifamily community. Experience in luxury, Class A, high-end, or high-service residential properties is strongly preferred.

This role is particularly well suited to someone who combines strong customer service and resident retention skills with the ability to lead a team, hold people accountable, and maintain a professional, collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead Daily Property Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operation of a 266-unit luxury multifamily community, ensuring the property consistently meets high standards for service, appearance, and performance.
  • Elevate the Resident Experience: Build strong relationships with residents and provide responsive, professional service that reflects the community’s premium positioning.
  • Drive Resident Retention: Take an active role in lease renewals, resident satisfaction, and retention strategies, particularly important in a higher-rent, high-service environment.
  • Support Leasing & Occupancy: Partner with the leasing team on follow-up, prospect conversion, occupancy, and overall leasing performance.
  • Manage Collections: Monitor rent collections, follow-up on outstanding balances, and address issues professionally and consistently.
  • Oversee Lease Administration: Manage lease-related activities, renewals, move-ins, move-outs, and compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
  • Lead & Develop the Onsite Team: Provide direction, coaching, accountability, and support while maintaining a positive and respectful team environment.
  • Maintain Property Standards: Ensure the community, amenities, common areas, and grounds are maintained to the high standards expected of a Class A luxury property.
  • Resolve Resident Concerns: Address questions, complaints, and service issues quickly and professionally, balancing resident satisfaction with sound business judgment.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with leasing, maintenance, and other onsite personnel to keep operations running smoothly and provide a seamless resident experience.
  • Manage Vendors & Partners: Maintain productive relationships with vendors and service providers and ensure work is completed to expectations.
  • Monitor Property Performance: Stay organized around reporting, operational priorities, financial performance, and other key property management responsibilities.
What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of Property Manager experience in market-rate multifamily; experience with a comparable asset is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates with strong Assistant Property Manager experience may be considered if they are ready for the next step.
  • Experience managing Class A, luxury, high-end, or service-oriented multifamily communities is a major plus.
  • Greater NYC metropolitan market experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of lease renewals, resident relations, leasing follow-up, collections, move-ins, and move-outs.
  • Exceptional customer service and resident retention skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional, polished presence and the ability to interact confidently with a high-end resident demographic.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced property environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to hold a team accountable without creating unnecessary conflict.
  • A collaborative, relationship-driven management style.
  • Hands-on approach with the willingness to jump in and support the team when needed.
  • Strong technology skills and the ability to learn and utilize property management systems.
The Team & Culture

This is a traditional, organized, and relationship-driven organization that genuinely values respect—both from leadership to employees and employees to leadership.

The right Property Manager will be a firm but approachable leader who can establish accountability while maintaining strong relationships with the onsite team. Collaboration, professionalism, and mutual respect are essential.

This is not an environment where ego or power struggles succeed. The ideal leader knows how to set clear expectations, support their team, communicate openly, and get the job done without creating unnecessary drama.

If you’re an experienced Property Manager who knows how to deliver exceptional resident service while running a high-performing multifamily community, this is an opportunity worth exploring.

Bring your leadership, organization, customer service expertise, and passion for luxury residential property management to a community where relationships, accountability, and operational excellence all matter.
