Job summary

West Coast Self-Storage is seeking a full-time Property Manager for our Deer Park facility. You will lead day-to-day operations, deliver exceptional customer service, handle leasing, pricing, and renewals, and ensure the site meets cleanliness and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have retail sales and cash handling experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work Tue-Sat. We offer comprehensive benefits, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail sales, cash handling, and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and meet store targets.
• Ability to work Tue-Sat, weekends or holidays as required.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service including assessing storage needs in person, over the phone, and online.
• Create store plan to hit monthly and annual budgets.
• Manage web pricing and discount strategies.
• Ensure property meets cleanliness and operational standards.
• Oversee vendors and capital expenditure projects.
• Manage the auction process.
• Show units and guide customers through leasing.
• Balance cash drawer and petty cash.
• Perform other duties assigned by leadership.

Schedule: Full-time, Tues-Sat (Off Sun/Mon), working 8:45am-5:15pm.

Day To Day

• Provide exceptional customer service including assessing customers storage needs (in person, phone and web inquiries)
• Create store plan to hit budget monthly and annually
• Web pricing and discount management
• Ensure property is maintained to West Coast’s Clean & Operational standards, e.g., cleaning vacated units, sweeping, mopping, changing light bulbs
• Manage Vendors and Cap Ex projects
• Drive auction process
• Show available units and guide customers through the leasing process
• Manage, audit and balance cash drawer and petty cash
• Other duties assigned by leadership

What You Will Bring

• Retail Sales, Cash Management, and Customer Service experience
• Ability to self-manage while working independently to achieve team and company objectives
• Ability to work weekends and some holidays (required)
• Basic computer skills and working knowledge MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
