Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of property operations including leasing, occupancy, rent collections, resident retention, and maintenance coordination.
  • Ensure ongoing LIHTC, HUD, Fair Housing, and other affordable housing program compliance.
  • Process certifications, recertifications, verifications, and compliance reporting accurately and timely.
  • Supervise onsite staff and foster a positive team environment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, vendors, and community partners.
  • Monitor property budgets, expenses, and financial performance.
  • Address resident concerns and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
  • Conduct property inspections and maintain community standards.
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate resident and operational records.

Job description

Location: Fresno, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of a 106 units senior affordable housing community in the Fresno area. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) compliance, senior housing regulations, resident relations, and property operations.

This position requires a strong leader who is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional service to senior residents while ensuring full compliance with all federal, state, and local housing requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, occupancy, rent collections, resident retention, and maintenance coordination.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with LIHTC, HUD, Fair Housing, and other affordable housing program requirements.
  • Process certifications, recertifications, verifications, and compliance reporting accurately and timely.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing a tax credit (LIHTC) property.
  • Prior experience with senior housing communities preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of affordable housing regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with tenant certifications and recertifications.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Certifications
  • Tax Credit Specialist (TCS), Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP), or equivalent affordable housing certification.
  • Fair Housing certification.
