Career Opportunity – Property Management Maintenance Technician – North Coast Community Homes in Cleveland, OH

Are you experienced in onsite preventative maintenance? Do you have general repair knowledge, residential maintenance expertise, and experience working with individuals with disabilities? If so, we want to talk to you about our exciting position!

The Property Management Maintenance Technician acts as a primary point of responsibility for assigned properties in the North Coast Community Home portfolio. This role involves prioritizing and managing various tasks weekly to support North Coast Community Home properties and related activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate maintenance services for properties managed by the organization, including contractual and leased properties.
  • Perform repairs such as minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and minor HVAC maintenance.
  • Inspect buildings and equipment regularly to ensure timely work completion, assess repair needs, and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Document equipment and system status, manage deficiencies, and coordinate with outside contractors and vendors, including contract development, monitoring, and invoice approval.
  • Evaluate contractor performance on NCCH properties.
  • Complete paperwork and input data into the maintenance database, generating reports to monitor maintenance programs.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with tenants, vendors, and community agency representatives.
  • Represent NCCH professionally and appropriately.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, responding promptly to emergency maintenance outside of regular hours.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least three years of experience in residential or commercial property maintenance and basic trades
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and instructions
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including routine report writing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially when working with persons with disabilities
  • Problem-solving skills to diagnose and address practical issues
  • Ability to work independently
  • Valid driver's license
