Job Title: Property Management Maintenance Technician
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
FLSA Status: Full-time, Non-exempt
SUMMARY: Manages the entire range of maintenance and repair services for and personally performs routine maintenance on assigned properties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below represent the required knowledge, skill, and/or ability. Must have basic proficiency in the use of computers, including spreadsheet and word processing programs. Must be able to work independently.
Experience: Five years of related experience in building trades, residential/commercial property management, and remodeling activities, including estimating and contracting for services. Knowledge of basic building code requirements for electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems installation and repair.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of introductory algebra and geometry.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to work with and among persons with disabilities, cooperate, and communicate with co-workers, tenants, and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to diagnose and solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret multiple instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid driver’s license which is insurable at NCCH’s current insurance rate.
